Rob Mayes

Rob Mayes has been acting in popular television series since 2003. His background made him a unique candidate for the entertainment industry. Mayes grew up in Ohio with traditional Lithuanian parents and his interest in music sparked from his accordion playing mother. Playing guitar and piano came easily for him and after high school, he enrolled at a college in London and toured in an international singing group throughout Europe. The September 11th attacks influenced his decision to enroll at the U.S. Naval Academy, but he quickly dropped out after a year and a half of attendance. Mayes moved to New York City and got casted in a minor role on the popular crime series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." The actor's lucky break came afterwards when he was chosen to play a singing janitor on the MTV teen musical special "The American Mall." He continued finding roles on teen TV shows and played a college student on two Lifetime movies, "Sorority Wars" and the comedy "Acceptance," also starring Joan Cusack. He found a part in a young adult thriller "Brooklyn to Manhattan" and also acted in the romantic figure skating film "Ice Castles." Mayes continues to grow his repertoire and was casted in "Jane By Design," a drama following an undercover high school girl working in the fashion industry.
