Hibiki Shimada is a 17-year-old sophomore who has never known love. She falls in love for the first time with a man of few words but filled with great compassion, her history teacher, Mr Ito. Encouraged by her schoolmates, she confesses her love to him but he rejects her. The rejection doesn’t really matter to her as she is determined to continue loving him and her innocent persistence slowly wears down the young teacher.
