Inder Saxena (Amitabh Bachchan) , a money minded man from Delhi, is supposed to supervise a project in Pratapgarh. There he meets his college mate Prakash (Vinod Mehra), his teacher, Professor Daya Shankar Sharma and his daughter Rama (Rakhee). Inder loses his heart to Rama at first sight unaware that Prakash is also in love with Rama. Prakash, who secretly admires Rama tells Inder that she is the kind of girl who can’t be lured with the power of money. But, Inder has the perception that women want only money and bets to Prakash that he will lure Rama with his money. Watch who wins the bet and how it affects Rama’s life.
