Actress Indya Moore helped to pave the way for transgendered actors thanks to major roles in coming-of-age "Saturday Church" (2017) and Ryan Murphy's period drama "Pose" (FX, 2018-). Born in The Bronx, NY, Moore first pursued a career as a model, landing various bookings through Facebook and Instagram pages and appearing on the catwalk at 2017 New York Fashion Week. Moore made their acting debut that same year playing Dijon, one of several trans women who provide support to a curious teen in LGBT drama "Saturday Church" (2017). Moore then appeared as in thriller short "Spot" (2017), danced alongside Katy Perry and Migos on "Saturday Night Live" (NBC, 1975-) and appeared in various music videos including J. Views' "Don't Pull Away," Moses Sumney's "Quarrel" and Boston Fielder's "If You Love Her." Moore's big break arrived when cast as unapologetic trans woman Angel in "Pose" (FX, 2018-), the colorful period drama exploring the rise of the NY underground ball scene famously depicted in documentary "Paris Is Burning" (1990).
