In this delightful musical comedy, successful TV presenter Lisa Wartberg (Heike Makatsch) embarks on an unforgettable journey after her mother Maria (Katharina Thalbach) has an accident and can only remember one thing: she has never been to New York. When Maria escapes from the hospital and stows away on a cruise ship, Lisa and her makeup artist Fred (Michael Ostrowski) manage to track her down only to end up stuck aboard the vessel.
