Abigail Hawk

Actress Abigail Hawk first came to attention when she landed the role of Tom Selleck's loyal aide, Detective Abigail Baker, in hit crime series "Blue Bloods" (CBS, 2010-). Born Abigail Gustafson in Chicago, Hawk made her on-screen debut as Samantha Bonner, one of two children who discover an inventor trapped inside a special computer, in educational series "Reality Check" (Syndication, 1995). After graduating from the UMD School of Theatre, Dance and Performance in Studies in 2004, Hawk guested as a paramedic in an episode of long-running procedural spin-off "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-), played a flower child in Julie Taymor's divisive Beatles-based musical fantasy "Across the Universe" (2007), and appeared as Sara in "The Unidentified" (2008), a mumblecore romance which explored the relationship between an idealistic New York journalist and an elusive artist. Hawk landed her first recurring role in 2010 when she was cast as Frank's assistant, Detective Abigail Baker, in the police procedural "Blue Bloods" (CBS, 2010-). During her stint on the show, Hawk also played Jenny Avery, a woman accused of stealing her murdered father's casino winnings, in an episode of medical drama "Body of Proof "(ABC, 2011-13), before adding family sitcom "Are We There Yet?" (TBS, 2010-13) to her list of guest spots. Hawk returned to the big screen when she starred as Eva Young, the mother of a young girl who overcomes a serious illness with the help of an imaginary friend, in the family drama "Bubble Girl" (2015).
