Joy, Alice and Max have been friends since the beginning of elementary school. Joy also has a great passion for cooking and, in addition to making treats for her parents and friends, runs a social media page where she posts video recipes.

Joy, Alice and Max are life-long friends about to enter Year 6 together. The three kids make friends with Stefano, and together they all decide to take an afternoon cooking class given by the eccentric headmaster of the new school.

Alice and Joy have a pijama party and talk about boys: Alice lets it slip that she has begun to have feelings for Max, and while Joy says nothing about Stefano, it is clear to everyone that the two of them like each other.

The history teacher gives the class an assignment: the kids have to describe and report on a historical time they would like to experience.

Melissa invites the JAMS to a Halloween party the girl is throwing at her house.
