Chris Sheridan

Producer/actor/writer Chris Sheridan is an important behind the scenes contributor to one of the most popular animated comedy series of the early 21st century, Seth MacFarlane's "Family Guy." Born in the Philippines but raised in Connecticut and New Hampshire, Sheridan began his writing career in the mid 1990s by penning an episode of the African-American-oriented sitcom "Living Single." By 1999, he had signed on as a writer for "Family Guy," where in addition to penning scripts, he has served as the show's executive producer and even provides voices for many of the show's trademark cut-away gags. He has earned several Emmy nominations for his work on the series, and since 2009 has also worked as a writer and producer on its spinoff "The Cleveland Show," starring creator and executive producer Mike Henry as the Griffins' former neighbor Cleveland Brown, who returns to his small Virginia hometown to marry his high school sweetheart and help raise her troublesome children.
