Lance Guest

Although he loved to act in high school theater productions, Lance Guest never really thought a career in Hollywood was in the cards. But while attending UCLA, he auditioned for a part on the television series "Fame" and, even though he didn't get it, was encouraged to find an agent. He landed a role on the "Mary Tyler Moore Show" sitcom spinoff "Lou Grant," and subsequently a good part in the slasher sequel "Halloween II," opposite Jamie Lee Curtis. Guest is most well-known, though, for his performance as the starry-eyed trailer park teen who becomes a galactic hero in the 1984 science fiction film "The Last Starfighter." Thanks to its repeated showings on cable television in the 1980s, the film became a cult favorite among many young viewers. Another film that generated plenty of attention, though not necessarily in a good way, was his part as the grown-up Mike Brody in the notoriously bad sequel "Jaws: The Revenge," the fourth and last film in the series. His other notable television work can be seen in the primetime soap "Knots Landing" and in the family drama "Life Goes On." Guest is always busy doing film and television work, but his true love has always been the stage. In 2010, he played Johnny Cash in the smash-hit Broadway musical "Million Dollar Quartet," earning some of the best reviews of his entire career.
