Emily and Richard are delighted when Lorelai and Christopher attend dinner together as a couple. After Christopher reveals that his ex-wife wants him to send their daughter there for a visit, Lorelai argues with him.

Lorelai invites Rory over to dinner to tell her that she and Christopher got married in Paris. Rory pretends to be thrilled while Christopher is in the room, but later tells Lorelai how hurt and angry she really is.

Lorelai and Rory attend Friday-night dinner, where Lorelai is reluctant to tell her mum about her and Christopher's marital problems, but Emily has enough on her plate when the recuperating Richard complains about his dietary restrictions and Emily's strict no-alcohol rule.

Lilly and the team reinvestigate the 1991 death of an inner-city school teacher. The original assumption was that the victim was accidentally killed during a carjacking gone wrong, but new evidence suggests that she was specifically targeted and that she was murdered.
