When the principal of a high school retires, two vice principals go to extremes to land the vacant job.

Amanda makes a deal with Gamby, and Dr Brown takes a veteran teacher to task over a shipment of missing books.

Having recovered from his wounds, Gamby returns to North Jackson High, realising that the school has dramatically changed in his absence.

Gamby identifies a suspect for the shooting with the help of Dayshawn. Russell tests out a kindness strategy at school.

Marty Funkhouser is outraged when flowers from his mother's memorial are stolen, Larry complains about 'sample abusers' in stores, while Jeff and Susie find knowing Larry to be a liability when trying to get Sammy into an exclusive private school.

Russell and Gamby hit the endgame in their plan to bring down Principal Brown.
