Luffy rescues Nami, but is then betrayed by her when she steals Buggy's map; Buggy threatens to kill Luffy and Nami, but Zolo arrives just in time to rescue them.

Luffy, Nami and Zolo manage to escape Buggy, who sends the Beast Breaker after them to get revenge.

Luffy and the gang are on the run after the battle with Captain Buggy; with no place to go and nothing else to do, Nami finally agrees to join Luffy on his quest.

Luffy and crew are ambushed by Captain Ussop, but the captain turns out to be a lying coward whose crew are some annoying local children.

Luffy follows Usopp to the mansion and encounters the brutal pirate Captain Kuro; the scoundrel plans to claim Kaya's fortune and live the stolen life of luxury.

Luffy and crew seek to best Captain Kuro, but they've prepared their defence on the wrong side of the island. All looks grim now that Usopp must face off against the Black Cat Pirates alone.
