Matasaka's only child, Kahoko, grows up in a loving and overprotective environment. Though he has plenty to worry about, he does not let that get in the way of pampering her. How does this affect her life?

Kahoko begins to seriously contemplate her future and visits her father and other relatives' workplaces with her mother Izumi. During this time, Kahoko learns that her cousin Ito will be participating in a competition with a wrist injury.

Kahoko realises that she is falling in love for the first time. Izumi strongly opposes, firing a barrage of insults about Hajime, only get yelled at by Kahoko.

Masataka is caught in the middle of Kahoko and Izumi's problems. Can they find a solution? Kahoko struggles to overcome the pain of rejection. Is there a way for her to find peace in these troubled times?

Masataka snaps at his wife and daughter, and finally leaves home; Masataka's relatives problems gradually come to light; thanks to Hajime's influence, Kahoko starts to realise just how sheltered she has been.

Izumi suddenly leaves home after hearing Kahoko's declaration that she wants to become independent. With the mother gone, the house is a complete mess, and Masataka and Kahoko have to work hard at chores they're not used to doing.
