In 2013, Yoon-jin visits Na-jung, her friend of 19 years. Back in 1994, they both lived at a boarding house run by Na-jung's family near a college.

Na-jung is stuck in bed with a bad case of back pain after watching a college basketball game. Elsewhere, Haitai and Samcheonpo excitedly go to their first mixer.

Na-jung sends a message to Sseureki on a night at an academic retreat but gets no response. Back in Seoul, Binggeure and Chilbong go out on a ride with Dong-il.

Chilbong is impressed by Na-jung's honesty. Na-jung is touched by Sseureki's kindness after an exhausting day and visits his room to confess her feelings.

Sseurekicannot go to a soccer tournament because he is in training at the hospital. Instead, he visits the children of a terminal patient.

Dong-il is troubled by the sudden change in Il-hwa. Na-jung and Yoon-jin are appalled by Haitai's insensitivity when he asks them for romantic advice.
