The whole family is tested when one of them gets married, and they all show their true colours. An overbearing mother might be the end of their destined relationship.

Qiuhhua and Jianye want to live on their own after marriage, but Baozhu is against the idea. Instead of telling them directly, she uses grandma Xiangqing.

Xiangqing visits the family, and Baozhu acts differently. He wants her to slowly teach Qiuhua about the importance of family and having harmony.

Qiuhua arranges with Jianye to go househunting, and she cons Xiangqing to come along so she can make use of her influence. Quihua insists that the house is meant for investment, and this complicates things.

It's Quihua's turn to cook dinner, but she is late. She manages to scrape by, but it's all canned foods, which doesn't make Baozhu happy. Quihua stands up for herself, saying how she is busy with running a business.

Jianhai bumps into a sick Fei Fei during his delivery, so she is sent home. He suspects that she may be pregnant with Zhijun's child, and he wants him to come clean.
