BOOST centres around Jimmy, a car thief from Detroit who comes out to L.A. to “start fresh.” At least that’s what he tells his step brother Clyde, an LAPD officer, when he first arrives. But it’s obvious from the start that he hasn’t changed his ways at all, only his locale. So when Jimmy gets hired by Roy, a slimy gangster who owns an auto shop, to steal a certain car on a certain day for big money, we’re not too surprised when he breaks all his own rules.
