Uptight and self-centred talk show host Eve Lovett is worried she will never find true love. Her usually successful talk show is starting to tank in the ratings, and she eats alone every night, wistfully watching couples and longing to have a partner in her own life. Eve calls her best friend Nancy and complains about her handsome producer, Rick, who isn’t supportive of her ideas for the show. Nancy senses something else is going on between them, but Eve denies it.
