Matilda

Matilda is a gifted child, more gifted than any other, but her parents won't let her go to school. She teaches herself for years by going to the library and reading everything she sees. Eventually she convinces her parents to let her go to school, but discovers her special talents are needed to protect the school and her lovely teacher from the evil headmistress.
