Based on a true story, in which two developmentally challenged adults have to fight the social services and government administrators for their right to marry and raise a family. Institutionalised for most of their lives, the pair find themselves on their own when their care home burns down. Forced to fend for themselves, the pair fall in love, but their hopes of marrying and raising a family are firmly challenged by the authorities.
