In 2019, paranormal researcher Emily Booth assembles the recovered footage of filmmaker Emma Thomas, who set out to debunk the supernatural myths surrounding a notorious Surrey Santa's Grotto, nicknamed 'Satan's Grotto' after a horrific Christmas Day massacre in the early 1980s. The attraction had become the centre of increasingly disturbing local legends: visitors who experienced terrifying visions, unexplained violence and an apparent inability to escape its influence. Emma dismisses it all as superstition and decides to spend Christmas Day inside the newly reopened grotto, filming everything for her documentary.
