Burt Gummer returns to Perfection, Nevada to find the town has become a tourist attraction after the battles against the Graboid creatures 11 years ago. He thinks he has Graboid-proofed his life, but he doesn't count on the arrival of a new and more dangerous kind of monster, and the interference of the government. However, Burt and his friends will have to use all their wits and weapons to protect the town.
