Chandler Riggs

It seems somewhat fated that Chandler Riggs was born in Atlanta, Georgia given the fact that his first major role was on the Atlanta-based "The Walking Dead" (AMC 2010-) television series. Riggs' career started at the age 7, when he appeared, oddly enough, as a zombie in the low-budget indie "Jesus H. Zombie" (2006). His next role didn't come for a few years, though, as he appeared in the Bill Murray and Robert Duvall family drama "Get Low" (2009), which was filmed in his home state of Georgia. The following year, at the age of 10, he joined the cast of "The Walking Dead" in its first season in the role of Carl Grimes, the son of the show's main character Rick Grimes) William Riggs, his father, guest-starred on episodes of "The Walking Dead" in season 4.) As Carl, Riggs showed range as he showed the devolution of a normal boy into becoming a cold, morally grey character as the show wears on. With Riggs' newfound fame on the popular TV show, he tried to maintain a normal life, attending public schools in Georgia while also attending many conventions and even hosting a fan meet-up every year. Riggs also played main character George Bruckner in "Mercy" (2014), an adaptation of Stephen King's short story "Gramma" in which George has to take care of his demonic grandmother. As his chracter arc ended on "The Walking Dead" in 2017, Riggs co-starred opposite Bella Thorne in horror film "Keep Watching" (2017).
