Edward Evans

Edward Evans was an actor who graced the silver screen many times throughout his Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Evans landed roles in various films, including "The Secret People" (1952) with Valentina Cortese, the Richard Attenborough thriller "The Man Upstairs" (1959) and "Till Death Do Us Part" (1969) with Warren Mitchell. He also appeared in the crime flick "10 Rillington Place" (1970) with Richard Attenborough. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the seventies, appearing in the crime mystery "One More Time" (1970) with Sammy Davis Jr. and the drama "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" (1971) with Glenda Jackson. His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "The Gathering Storm" (NBC, 1974-75). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "One of Our Dinosaurs Is Missing" (1975) and the Steve Railsback action movie "Lifeforce" (1985). Evans more recently worked on the Michael Moriarty drama "The Hanoi Hilton" (1987). Evans passed away in December 2001 at the age of 87.
