Frank Thring

Frank Thring was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Thring's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as the Kirk Douglas adaptation "The Vikings" (1958), the dramatic adaptation "Ben-Hur" (1959) with Charlton Heston and "El Cid" (1961) with Charlton Heston. He also appeared in "King of Kings" (1961). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the James Mason dramatic adaptation "Age of Consent" (1970), the western "Ned Kelly" (1970) with Mick Jagger and "Alvin Rides Again" (1974) starring Graeme Blundell. He also appeared in "The Man From Hong Kong" (1974). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the action film "Mad Dog" (1976) with Dennis Hopper, "At Last... Bullamakanka The Motion Picture" (1983) and the action movie "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" (1985) with Mel Gibson. He also appeared in the James Coburn drama "Death of a Soldier" (1986). Thring last acted in "The Marsupials: The Howling III" (1987). Thring was married to Joan Cunliffe. Thring passed away in December 1994 at the age of 68.
