Earl decides to return a hot dog cart that he and Ralph stole, but Ralph has other incendiary ideas forcing Earl, Randy, Joy, Catalina and Darnell into a stationery stealing spree.
Earl decides to teach English as a second language so that he can cross `made fun of people with accents' off of his karma list. When an old friend is released from prison, Earl tries to teach him the ways of karma.
Earl tries to make amends for kicking the lead singer out of his band for being too old. Earl, Randy and Ralph had recruited Tom without meeting him but fired him because he was scaring off girls. Tom wants Earl to get the band back together so that he can experience the thrill of being a rock star, but then Ralph finds out that Earl slept with his mum and tells Earl he'll kill him in 12 hours.
Earl struggles to re-adjust to life on the outside. With a grudge against karma, and no job, no home and no money, Earl decides that his good deeds are not getting him anywhere, so he reverts back to his old bad ways. Earl rejects his friends and tries to run from karma, but karma catches up to him in the shape of a car and Billie.
The agents investigate a series of electrical deaths linked to a teenage boy who may be able to control lightning.
