The Thanksgiving holiday is more difficult for the interns and residents than any of them is willing to admit, as Izzie plans a big dinner at Meredith's -- but it remains to be seen who among the invited guests will actually show up. Meanwhile, George endures the O'Malley tradition of hunting turkeys with his less-than-sophisticated family, and Meredith treats a patient who's been in a vegetative state for 16 years.

Marshall begins his new job at Barney's law firm and quickly finds that Barney's colleagues are crude, obnoxious and laddish, mocking everything from his packed lunch to his fiancée. However, he doesn't want to give up, and learns to adapt.

Lori helps an old informant cover up his involvement in a robbery. Denny's involvement with a prostitute finds him on the wrong side of the law.

Rocky and CeCe do an audition in Chicago, but CeCe freezes and isn't selected. Rocky doesn't want to do the show without her best friend and tries to think of a way to get the host to reconsider.

Earl and Randy are overjoyed to find a new reality game show featuring their all-time favourite TV actor, Erik Estrada from `CHiPs'. Even better: the show is coming to town for a week of auditions. Joy steals Randy's audition for the show as payback for him and Earl doing the same to her years ago, but her public appearance on the show has serious consequences for Darnell that nobody could have foreseen.

Isabel's date with a professional baseball player is ruined when they walk in on a robbery at his home. The thief manages to escape with some of the sportsman's valuable memorabilia, so he enlists Walter's help to find the missing items. To earn Willa's trust, Leo takes her along on the investigation.
