Law firm Lockhart, Gardner and Bond sue a social networking site on behalf of a Chinese dissident, whose anonymous blog about democracy in China landed him in trouble with the government when his identity was uncovered.

Alicia and Cary represent search engine Chumhum against the NSA, unaware that the intelligence agency is already monitoring Lockhart & Gardner's communications due to the firm's connection with a former client.

Lockhart & Gardner represents the families of three Americans who were detained and killed by the Syrian government during the uprising. They claim this happened because a technology company violated US law by knowingly selling software to Syria. Meanwhile, staff at the firm are exuberant following the grand jury's decision not to indict Will, but the mood changes when it is revealed that the Bar has been tipped off.

As the firm deals with an internal legal crisis, Alicia tries to hold onto their biggest client; Diane plots her move.
