Jack Davies

Jack Davies's talent for screenwriting gave him a Hollywood career. He was nominated for a BAFTA Award for "Doctor at Sea" in 1955. Following this honor, Davies penned the scripts for the comedy "An Alligator Named Daisy" (1957) with Donald Sinden, the Ray Milland action flick "High Flight" (1958) and the comedy "It Started in Naples" (1960) with Clark Gable. He also appeared in the comedy "Crooks Anonymous" (1962) with Leslie Phillips. Davies was most recently credited in "Kicking It" (2008). In the seventies through the nineties, Davies lent his talents to projects like "Paper Tiger" with David Niven (1975), "ffolkes" with Roger Moore (1980) and "Getting It On" (1983). His credits also expanded to "Edtv" with Matthew McConaughey (1999). Davies passed away in June 1994 at the age of 81.
