Jack Douglas

British-born Jack Douglas was an accomplished actor who appeared in many Hollywood films throughout his Hollywood career. Douglas worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Carry on Behind" (1975). Douglas won a Best Written Comedy Material Primetime Emmy Award for "The George Gobel Show" in 1955. Douglas was nominated for an Outstanding Writing Achievement In Comedy, Variety Primetime Emmy Award for "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In" in 1970. He next focused his entertainment career on film, appearing in the Kenneth Connor comedy "Carry on England" (1976), "What's Up Nurse" (1977) and the comedy "Carry on Emmannuelle" (1978) with Suzanne Danielle. He also appeared in the Derrick O'Connor drama "Bloody Kids" (1983). He spent the eighties and the nineties tackling film roles in the comedy "The Boys in Blue" (1983) with Robert E Ball and the Jim Dale comedy sequel "Carry on Columbus" (1993). Douglas was most recently credited in "Carry On Dick" (2012) with Sidney James. Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Sir Norbert Smith: A Life" (PBS, 1990-91). Douglas passed away in December 2008 at the age of 81.
