James Allen McCune

Actor James Allen McCune enjoyed recurring roles in cable hits "Shameless" (Showtime, 2011-) and "The Walking Dead" (AMC, 2010-) before landing the lead in found footage sequel "Blair Witch" (2016). Born in Atlanta, GA, McCune first began acting at high school, and later played Roger in a local theatre production of "Rent," but was working at a motorcycle company's customer service when he landed his first screen part, Beth's ill-fated boyfriend Jimmy in zombie phenomenon "The Walking Dead" (AMC, 2010-). After guesting in an episode of "Homeland" (Showtime, 2011-) and appearing in failed pilots "Hail Mary" (2011) and "Gentleman Callers" (2013), McCune bagged his first film role playing Dwayne Johnson's imprisoned son Craig in crime drama "Snitch" (2013). Minor roles in spoof comedy "Congratulations" (2013) and TV movie "The Anna Nicole Story" (2013) then followed, while in 2013 he was cast as Matty Baker, the much older object of teenager Debbie's affections, in "Shameless" (Showtime, 2011-). After his controversial 11-episode stint on the show came to an end, McCune showed up as a suspected terrorist in espionage drama "State of Affairs" (NBC, 2014-15), produced, starred in and composed music for short film "This Is Me" (2016), and starred in the eagerly-awaited horror sequel "Blair Witch" (2016) as James, the younger brother of the first film's Heather, who begins to investigate her disappearance 22 years earlier.
