As Mindy and Danny try to move on, Mindy begins to idolise the high-profile doctor Sheila Hamilton. The doctors from Shulman and Associates visit an under-resourced community to offer the residents free check-ups.

When Mindy tells Danny she has a crush, he thinks she's talking about him instead of Cliff, the lawyer. Morgan and Peter find Mindy's phone and respond to a text from Cliff, which starts off innocently but quickly escalates.

Following their breakup, Mindy is determined to return to New York to win Cliff back, however Danny tricks her into accompanying him to meet his estranged father. Meanwhile, Peter and Morgan get stuck in the bathroom at the hospital.

When Dr Shulman retires unexpectedly, Mindy, Danny and Jeremy are forced to make all the day-to-day decisions at the practice.

Mindy reflects on her first day at Schulman and Associates to see just how much her relationship with Danny has changed in the last few years.
