Leslie must choose between Ben and her dream of running for office; Ann dispenses medical advice; Ron gets ready for the return of Tammy One.

When Leslie tries to promote her new book about Pawnee, she is accused of not being born there. Meanwhile, Ann is determined to make friends with Ron and April but fails to have a five-minute conversation with them.

Leslie asks everyone for help in raising awareness about an event and appoints Ann as the new campaign manager. Meanwhile, Ben explores a new hobby, and April and Andy get a pet. Later, Chris finds out that Ben is depressed about leaving his job.

Leslie and the team put together a memorial service for a dearly departed friend, Tom makes a big life decision, and Chris reacts badly to a health problem.
