Luke Hemsworth
Born in Melbourne, Australia, Luke Hemsworth was the older brother of actors Liam and Chris. The burly actor broke into show business with a role on the endlessly popular Aussie soap opera "Neighbours" (Seven Network, 1985; Network Ten, 1986-2010; Eleven, 2011-) as Nathan Tyson, a star athlete addicted to performance-enhancing drugs. From there, he continued his ascent up the entertainment industry ladder, scoring guest spots on such programs as "Blue Heelers" (Seven Network, 1994-2006), "Last Man Standing" (Seven Network, 2005) and "The Elephant Princess" (Network Ten, 2008-2011). While his younger brothers rose through the ranks with him and eventually went off to Hollywood, Hemsworth remained in Australia, scoring juicy roles on "Tangle" (Showcase, 2009-2012), "Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms" (Network Ten, 2012) and "Winners & Losers" (Seven Network, 2011-). The astronomical success experienced by Liam and Chris upped global fascination with the family, however, and Hemsworth signed with his brothers' management company in America. The long-married father of three made headlines around the world as a rising young talent when it was announced he would star in John V. Soto's crime thriller "The Reckoning" (2014) as a detective investigating a horrific crime.By Jonathan Riggs
