Oliver Cotton

Oliver Cotton was a big screen film actor known for powerful performances. Early on, Cotton mostly landed roles in various films, including the comedy "Here We Go 'Round the Mulberry Bush" (1968) with Barry Evans, the action flick "Firefox" (1982) with Clint Eastwood and "Eleni" (1985). He also appeared in "The Sicilian" (1987) and "Hiding Out" (1987) with Jon Cryer. He had an early role on the television special "Henry VIII" (PBS, 1978-79). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the nineties, appearing in the comedic adventure "Year of the Comet" (1992) with Penelope Ann Miller, the Marlon Brando dramatic adventure "Christopher Columbus: the Discovery" (1992) and the action movie "Blake Edwards' Son of the Pink Panther" (1993) with Roberto Benigni. He also appeared in the thriller "The Innocent Sleep" (1997) with Annabella Sciorra. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Shanghai Knights" (2003) with Jackie Chan, the dramatic adaptation "The Dancer Upstairs" (2003) with Javier Bardem and the John Malkovich comedic drama "Color Me Kubrick" (2007). He also appeared in the Johanna Wokalek dramatic adaptation "Pope Joan" (2008) and the Christian Bale hit action sequel "The Dark Knight Rises" (2012). Most recently, Cotton acted in the Freema Agyeman thriller "North V South: Long Time Coming" (2015).
