Pauline Collins

Pauline Collins was a British actress who first came to prominence portraying Sarah Moffat in Upstairs, Downstairs and its spin-off Thomas& Sarah. In 1992, she published her autobiography, Letter to Louise. Collins played the title role in the play Shirley Valentine for which she won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress, and the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play.

When an old flame of Gaiuss arrives in Camelot, Merlin is pleased to see a different side to his curmudgeonly mentor. But after discovering she is under the influence of a Manticore, a creature from the Old Religion, Merlin has no choice but to tell his old friend of Alices evil intentions. Blinded by love, the old physician refuses to believe Merlins story and the two friends fall out.
