RKM Legend

A bold talent forged in the pressure of Houston's streets, Ryan Kelly Moreland-known to the world as RKM Legend and to the underground as The Panther-entered the entertainment industry with an unmanufactured authenticity and a commanding presence. Growing up in Alief, a fierce Houston neighborhood, before relocating to Missouri City, Moreland learned to exist between worlds. Alief taught him about struggle, while Missouri City provided perspective and ambition. The tension between these environments became the foundation of his artistic identity. Growing up with a stutter made his journey extraordinary. Though it could have silenced a career built on his voice, Moreland used it to burn away hesitation, leaving an actor absolutely committed to his roles. Before transitioning to film, Moreland was an emotionally honest rapper, singer and songwriter in Houston's independent music scene. He established Legendary Money Team-originally Legendary Music Team-an independent label for uncompromising artists. In 2024, his catalog was mysteriously removed from platforms without warning, an unresolved event that failed to silence his music. Moreland made his professional screen debut in 2019, starring as Freddie Douglas in the short drama "Policing, The Movie." The film centers on a Black family devastated by the loss of a son and an unaccountable system. Moreland brought instinctive depth to the role, masterfully conveying the character's internal grief, rage and heartbreak. That same year, Moreland showcased his defining range by co-starring in two additional independent films. In "Alone," he played Charles, navigating isolation and the consequences of choices. In "Bad Rapper," he inhabited Jason, a character caught in the heartbreaking gap between artistic ambition and a brutal industry. In 2020, Moreland wrote, produced, and starred in the short horror film "Elizabeth's Revenge," a fully realized work showcasing his precise vision as a filmmaker and performer. His talent and endurance as a leading man were fully revealed in "The Red Box" (2024), where he uncovered new dimensions in his character season by season.
