Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright's music provided him with a Hollywood career. Wainwright's early music mostly appeared in comedies like "The Myth of Fingerprints" (1997) and the Adam Sandler blockbuster "Big Daddy" (1999). In the early 2000s, Wainwright devoted his time to various credits, such as the Leonardo DiCaprio and Cate Blanchett box office smash "The Aviator" (2004), "Heights" (2005) starring Elizabeth Banks and "Prime" (2005) starring Meryl Streep. He also worked on "The Baxter" with Michael Showalter (2005). Wainwright's music was most recently featured in "A Merry Friggin' Christmas" (2014). In the early 2000s, Wainwright lent his talents to projects like "Leonard Cohen I'm Your Man" (2006) starring Leonard Cohen, "The History Boys" (2006) and "Days of Darkness" (2007). His credits also expanded to "Meet the Robinsons" with Angela Bassett (2007) and "Trade" with Kevin Kline (2007). Wainwright's husband was Jorn Weisbrodt.
