Salomé

Spanish singer Salomé was one of four performers to be elected winner of the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest, alongside entries from French vocalist Frida Boccara, the U.K.'s Lulu, and the Netherlands' Lennie Kuhr. She was born Maria Rosa Marco in Barcelona. She would record versions of her winning entry, "Vivo Cantando," in no less than seven languages -- Spanish, Basque and Catalan, French, English, German, Italian, and Serbo-Croat. ~ Dave Thompson, Rovi
