Coach's likeable daughter Lisa stops by Cheers to introduce her fiancé, the slick, unscrupulous Roy. Coach dislikes Roy who treats her shabbily and offends everyone he comes into contact with.

Diane still has a thing for Sam's brother and he invites her to go with him to Paris. She confesses to him that she loves Sam and returns to Cheers to give him one more chance and acknowledge that he loves her too.

Frasier goes out on his first date since his marriage ended, but the young secretary he goes out with only agrees to the date to get revenge on her parents. Meanwhile, Cliff begins a business venture with his new video camera.

Sam is reacquainted with his old flame Diane Chambers.

For university, Diane is supposed to write a paper on the topic of `Human Sexuality'. The result is a case study about a pick-up and Don Juan, and Sam is very enthusiastic about it.
