Sam decides to sell the bar and move to California with Diane.

Coach's likeable daughter Lisa stops by Cheers to introduce her fiancé, the slick, unscrupulous Roy. Coach dislikes Roy who treats her shabbily and offends everyone he comes into contact with.

Diane still has a thing for Sam's brother and he invites her to go with him to Paris. She confesses to him that she loves Sam and returns to Cheers to give him one more chance and acknowledge that he loves her too.

Sam is reacquainted with his old flame Diane Chambers.

For university, Diane is supposed to write a paper on the topic of `Human Sexuality'. The result is a case study about a pick-up and Don Juan, and Sam is very enthusiastic about it.

Sam's friends throw a bachelor party complete with the usual girl in a cake. Sam admits that it will be difficult for him to be with only one woman for the rest of his life. That's when Diane emerges from the cake.
