Victorian England meets futuristic space travel when three women on the planet Argelius are apparently murdered by Jack the Ripper - in the form of the Enterprise's chief engineer. With Scotty in the dock, the crew of the Enterprise find their own lives are at risk from an evil being feeding on the epidemic of fear and panic.
