It is 2062, after Earth has been devastated after the failure of an automation project when the KI called Artemis started a war against humanity, a girl called Empress awakens in a research laboratory and tries to save the decaying world.

The Good, the Bad and the Mechanics
The year is 2062. Twenty years after Project Elysion failed and has left Earth in ruin, a girl, Empress, wakes up in an underground research facility. With no memory of her past, Empress meets Norito and Miya, and they head to the surface.
EPISODE 2
Shooter Meets Hacker
Empress takes Norito and Miya back to their mountain town, but they're suddenly attacked by Strength, an ex-ally. They flee from this losing battle and Empress is tasked with retrieving supplies from the remains of a nearby hospital.
EPISODE 3
Master Sniper
Empress and the others go to the base of the Peacebuilding Force. They find vehicles belonging to the sect Educational Institution. Empress realises that they are being followed and goes to the vehicles herself.
EPISODE 4
Black Falls Down a Hole
Empress and the others hear from Volt that they only have one month left before the space lift is ready. The Dead Master begins to negotiate and is ambushed. Charlotte, an improved human, is released by the Educational Institution.
EPISODE 5
Drink Because You Are Happy
A chance encounter causes Norito to seek Strength's help. He wants her to summon Empress because Miya has been taken by Educational Institution and is being used as a stake. Suddenly, they are pursued by soldiers.

Collapse
Strength and Norito enter the enemy aircraft carrier to rescue Miya. Empress and the others engage a squadron of surveillance vehicles. In the carrier's laboratory lie the bodies of dead girls.
