A high school boy travels 70 years into the future, landing in the middle of a world war being fought with giant robots that require two pilots to operate in sync and forming a partnership with ace pilot Dio to help defend the Free Pact Alliance.

As Aoba tries to come to grips with the new world he finds himself in, the ship comes under attack again, and during the engagement, he unexpectedly comes across someone he knows.

The Time for Resolve
Aoba faces the consequences of his rash actions during the combat when he saw Hina; the Cygnus lands at Narashino and Aoba gets a chance to explore his hometown to see what became of it after the last 70 years.

Aoba finds out more about Dio and his family; Cygnus unexpectedly finds itself mobilising against an invading Zogilian force.
