Scott falls in love at the first sight of Laurel, Mark's brother runs away in response to their parent's impending divorce, and Anika decides to be Laurel's enemy over a perceived slight concerning her outfit.

Kat and Mark try to find Travis, their missing younger brother. Scott attempts to ask out Laurel, Anika spreads rumours about Laurel, Mark and Laurel meet for the first time, and Jen finds Travis, Mark's little brother sleeping in her car.

Mark and Jen have been together six months, and she plans on having sex with him. When Mark and Laurel are spotted hanging out, Anika and Erin spread rumours about them which hurts Jen and leads Scott feeling betrayed.

Mark misleads Jen while falling for Laurel, Scott meets the girl of his dreams, Cat tells Jen that Mark has been emailing and talking with Laurel behind her back, and Erin pines over Chris, who's more interested in Anika.

Things get steamy when Mark poses for Laurel's photo shoot, Erin attempts to dissuade Chris's interest in Anika, Chris wagers against Gil that Anika will have sex with him, and Jen becomes increasingly suspicious of Mark and Laurel.

Laurel tells Mark she can't be with him when he's still with Jen. Jen contemplates having sex with Mark to keep from losing him, and when Anika hears the rumours going around about her, Erin blames Laurel. Mark tries to end things with Jen.
