Upon his third ascension to Heaven, Crown Prince Xie Lian is tasked with investigating the missing brides of Yu Jun Mountain.

Xie Lian and San Lang meet an old man who escaped from a place called Crescent Pass. Nan Feng and Fu Yao arrive to accompany Xie Lian to Crescent Pass, but are distrustful of San Lang.
