Kemono Jihen

Kohachi Inugami, a detective specialising in the occult, is sent to investigate a rash of unusual animal deaths in a remote mountain village. He meets an unusual boy nicknamed Dorotabo, who is ostracised by the other children.

Kabane meets Akira and Shiki, two other Kemono working for Inugami, and gets off to a rocky start with Shiki; the office are sent out to deal with an incident.

Police Station Superintendent Inari, herself a kitsune Kemono, asks to meet Kabane at the station, but it becomes clear she has an ulterior motive when she asks to see his life stone.

The team helps a love-struck client track down the object of his affection; Akira patterns himself after Kabane, and the two are assigned a case.

When the vampire Mihai, a longtime acquaintance of Inugami's, stays at the office, Kabane and the others wind up in an arm-wrestling competition with him.

Kabane, Shiki, and Akira embark on a dangerous mission set up by Mihai and break into a company controlled by a trio of kanonba sisters.
