Emma is still regrouping after her divorce from Pete and decides that the best way to help the healing process is to go on holiday to Cyprus. There, she meets hotel owner Niko, and a passionate romance quickly develops between them.

Following a visit from her daughter Susie, Emma begins looking for Niko and her money, targeting hotel worker Maria. After a confrontation at Maria's apartment, Emma walks away with a crucial lead on one of Niko's business associates, George.

A terrified Emma is led at gunpoint by Niko to his remote farmhouse, but to her bewilderment he claims to be trying to protect her from George. Niko then lays out for Emma the true nature of the arrangement he has with George.

With Christina and the police hot on their heels, Emma and Pete make a frantic dash to the airport. Emma is adamant that her and Pete's best course of action is to try and make it to the UK. With the police closing in, she hands herself in.
