Six promising girls join the Spike team and are all set for a new and exciting journey under the guidance of a former champion volleyball player.

The Olympic Torch's medallion has been stolen from the museum. Meanwhile, Jo starts a new job at a wellness centre, and the girls take interest in learning more about Patty's mysterious boyfriend.

Lucky takes the group camping in an effort to shape their skills after a disastrous match. Predictably, the group uses the camping trip to have some less than sports related fun.

The team's spirit is crushed after they find out that their application to compete in England has been denied. Not to be deterred, Lucky comes up with an unusual training regiment that is a major "fashion faux pas" according to Ann! Meanwhile, Lucky's recent actions have angered Grace and now he must find a way to make it up to her.

A playoff game offers the team a chance to qualify for the English tournament. Lucky experiments with new training methods, Patty worries about Brent, and the boys organise a fundraising party.

As the Spikes prepare for their game in France, Ann Mary's father accuses Julio of trafficking fighting dogs and refuses to allow Ann Marry to go on the trip with the team.
