Walking through the Glaciers

Alice Pedrazzini and mountain guide Romano Salis climb the north face of Badile, the emblematic mountain of Val Bregaglia. The eight participants and the guides who accompany them learn about the route.

The group depart from Casaccia to reach the village of Soglio, climbing the magnificent Val Maroz and Val di Cam. The highest point of the route is Piz Cam, which is 2634m above sea level.

A travel guide helps navigate the new route to the Sasc Furä da Soglio Hut - earlier accessible via Bondasca Valley - and explore the challenging paths around Badile and Cengalo along the way.

Going through Val Codera and Val Porcellizzo to reach Gianetti hut, along with a walk involving two demanding passes - the Trubinasca and the Porcellizzo.

The group tackle a journey from the Gianetti Refuge to the Allievi Refuge as part of the popular Roma Trail - a pathway of almost 34 miles meandering from Val Codera to Valmalenco.

The climbers reach the first glacier of the trek and scale the highest peak in Bergell before they can descend to the Albigna Hut during one of their most challenging expeditions.
