The journey begins at the northern tip of Denmark, in the Skagerrak Strait. Every June, hundreds of seals gather on an isolated island between Denmark and Sweden.

There are many islands between Estonia, Sweden and Finland. In autumn, the mating calls of moose can be heard everywhere. Of the entire Baltic Sea, the Gulf of Riga is where the largest group of grey seals congregate.

Between the Finnish coast to the east and the Swedish coast to the west, the Gulf of Bothnia is perhaps the least-known region of the Baltic. It is here that ringed seals give birth to their pups in the summer months.
