Aeon lives in a world restricted to the last city on Earth, after a plague has destroyed the rest of the world. The city is ruled by a council and its chairman, and people are mysteriously disappearing. Aeon is an assassin for an underground group of rebels called the Monicans, and is assigned to remove the Chairman, but at the last minute she finds herself unable to do it.
